Emma Spragg
Emma has held leadership roles in some of the UK's largest charities for over twenty years, most recently as Head of Local Services at Alzheimer's Society. She is experienced in developing and leading a range of strategic programmes and partnerships, working with teams across the UK.
As director with British Red Cross, she led crisis response teams during several major incidents and was instrumental in establishing structures for the voluntary and community sector to work alongside emergency services. Before that Emma was at Age UK, setting up their national telephone friendship service, running a large wellbeing programme and supporting local organisations to develop and grow.
Emma is also a trustee for a local well women charity near her home town in the northwest. Currently taking a career break and retraining in horticulture and garden design, Emma volunteers with several community projects and an allotment. As well as wildlife gardening, Emma loves being an auntie, as well as Thai food, running and a spot of dj-ing - not all at the same time!
