Apply for Connecting Communities Grant Funding

Our Connecting Communities grants offer up to £20,000 to charities who provide placed-based services to our entire community or specific groups.

Funding is available to support capital projects that:

  • Breathe new life into local spaces: Upgrade and revitalise buildings and outdoor areas.

  • Bring people together: Reduce social isolation and foster a strong sense of belonging.

  • Secure the future: Ensure vital local services remain open and accessible for generations to come.

Our Purpose:

We believe thriving communities are built on the strength of their shared infrastructure. From bustling village halls and communal gardens to local schools, hospices, and specialist support services, these spaces serve as the vital cornerstones of connection, resilience, and care.

We want to provide the essential capital needed to transform aging, underutilised, or inaccessible spaces - whether they serve the broad public or offer targeted, specialist facilities for specific groups within the neighbourhood.

By investing up to £20,000 per project, we aim to unlock the potential of these local anchor institutions. Our funding aims to reduce social isolation, fosters a deep sense of belonging, and ensures that the physical spaces at the 'heart' of our communities remain resilient, inclusive, and equipped to serve for generations to come.

We've included details below on who and what we're looking to fund. As well as information on how we process applications and what factors we consider when making decisions.
